Wilderness Park Trail Marathon

Ran on a single track trail, in the heat. Finish temp in the mid to upper 80s with high humidity. Thought I was having a heart attack when it was over, but it was just heat exhaustion. No medal. Boo. 4:35:53

Little Rock Marathon

Huge Ginormous Medal. Awesome day for running. A little cold at the start, but then it got very warm the last few miles. 4:09:32. Long drive there and back though, but worth it!

About Me

Hello and welcome to my running blog! I'm a 40-something guy who has been running for a few years, and has found that it has become one of my passions in mid life. Because of my job, my runs are at all different times of day, both indoors and out, depending on what shift I'm working. One of my all-time favorite quotes is, "Run when you can, walk if you have to, crawl if you must. Just never give up," by Dean Karnazes. Another quote I love is "The more I run, the more I want to run," by George Sheehan.

In my spare time, I enjoy weather (my career), computers, PHP programming, staying fit, running (duh), yard work, coin collecting, TV, movies, music, surfing the Internet, following the Nebraska Cornhuskers (I'm from Omaha), spending time with my family, and just having fun!
