The Running Ninja

The wind chill today was 14 below zero. And I ran 3.1 miles in this. But, I also had just purchased a running balaclava, so I was toasty warm. The small band of skin around my eyes did get cold, and breathing through the facemask wasn't the most pleasant thing I've done, but I honestly have to say, I'm a die hard, ninja runner. Go figure.

Hello and welcome to my running blog! I'm a 40-something guy who has been running for a few years, and has found that it has become one of my passions in mid life. Because of my job, my runs are at all different times of day, both indoors and out, depending on what shift I'm working. One of my all-time favorite quotes is, "Run when you can, walk if you have to, crawl if you must. Just never give up," by Dean Karnazes. Another quote I love is "The more I run, the more I want to run," by George Sheehan.

In my spare time, I enjoy weather (my career), computers, PHP programming, staying fit, running (duh), yard work, coin collecting, TV, movies, music, surfing the Internet, following the Nebraska Cornhuskers (I'm from Omaha), spending time with my family, and just having fun!
